On January 19, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the State of Qatar Myratgeldi Seyitmammedov held a meeting with the Rector of the Doha University of Science and Technology of Qatar Salem Al Nuaimi.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador informed about the fact that 2026 will be named the year of “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan - Homeland of Purposeful Heavenly Horses” in Turkmenistan and the festive events to be held on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Independence of our Motherland.

In addition, he noted that the development of the education system in Turkmenistan has been closely linked to the expansion of international cooperation in recent years, and that cooperation with foreign higher education institutions and scientific centers has been steadily developing, implementing joint educational programs, academic exchanges, and projects to improve the professional level of teachers.

They also discussed cooperation in the field of science and education, which will be considered within the framework of the upcoming visit of representatives of the Doha University of Science and Technology to Turkmenistan.
